I am back!!

It has been too long since my last post .  I really need to get better at posting .  I don’t know why it takes me such a long time between posts.  I have been keeping myself pretty busy though.  With us moving back to the states, it has taken me some time to get settled into our new house.  Luckily for me, the house that we found has a big office.  So I get to have my craft room back.  Yay for me and my craft room!  Having my craft room has helped me with my motivation and making cards and crafts.

So I have been working on cards and Magnets.  Here are some pictures of the cards that I have made.

NEW PRETTY Composition Book!!

NEW PRETTY Composition Book

So I sent my daughter to school with her NEW Composition Book and it was a hit! I guess all of her friends were asking her where I bought them at and Crystina said well, My mom actually decorated it herself! Even her teacher asked her where she got her composition book from! I am pretty excited with the reaction of the book brought so I decided to make another one. Actually I had already started on two of them but I finished one today.

One Man’s Trash is My Treasure!

So I went to the Thrift Store today to drop off some donations and help out some. I didn’t go to buy anything so I wasn’t looking for anything. While helping out I saw these cute little

jars. I think they are Apothecary Jars. I fell in love with them!  Like they say “One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Treasure”

So what do you think about my treasures? I love the colors of them. I love that they are really small. I have to find something to do with them. When I do I will post some pictures to show you all. It always makes me so happy to see beautiful things. Right now I have so many beautiful things in my office that when I walk in I feel happy! I want to feel that way every time I walk in my home. That is my goal, to make my home happy looking. Sometimes when I am feeling down I go to the flower shops here in my town and just walk around for 30 min. Believe it or not it make’s a big difference in my mood and makes me very happy. Seeing all those beautiful flowers, all the different colors, different types of flowers.

10 Year Anniversary Card

Good Afternoon!

Recently my husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. It makes me very very happy to say that! We have been through so much together in the past 11 years. I think we make a great team! We both work great together. My husband is so good to me, sometimes I think to myself that I am one lucky girl. He is more then my husband, he is my best friend! He has been my best friend since the day I met him. So of course I made him a special anniversary card for him. See the great thing about my cards is that they are one of a kind!

New PRETTY Composition Book

Hey there again. I have been working on this composition book for my daughter for a while now and just finished. My little girl is a girly girl so I decided to go with the colors red, pink, and light blue. Next year she will be in 4th grade. WOW, I can’t believe my little girl will be a 4th grader next year. Here in Germany the kids go to middle school when there in 4th grade. I am not happy about it but it is what it is…

So I am happy to share what I made for my angle and I hope you like it as much as she does….

Decorated Gift Bags

Good Afternoon!

I have been working on making gift bags. The one I made was very easy. I wanted to attach some rossetti paper flowers that I learned to make but I didn’t because I couldn’t find a good place to put them at. All I did was put some scrap paper that I bought on a plain paper gift bag and added some ribbon on the top of the bag. I really enjoy making plain looking things look beautiful and I think the bag looks very pretty. So here it is..

So that’s my decorated bag. I am planing on making more and will be showing you what I come up with. I really would like to know what you think of it. It really was simple to make. If you have scrap paper laying around like I do and have plain paper gift bags you can do this!! Pretty ribbon can make anything beautiful!!

Father’s Day

Hello!

How was your Father’s Day? I hope all of you had the chance to spend time with the awesome dads in your life. My family and I had a relaxing day. I let my husband sleep in on father’s day so I am sure he liked that. Then we watched a movie as a family. It was a very quiet day.

I have been feeling like a bad wife because I haven’t been buying anything for my husband for the special holiday’s that come up. Also

a bad daughter because I haven’t sent any father’s day cards…. 😦  See the thing is, is that I do make the cards

I just don’t send them. I am really bad at sending them. So I still have my dad’s father’s day card and father in-law’s card in my craft room. I really need to send them

Like today! I took some pictures of the father’s day card I made for my husband and for my father in law. I hope you like what you see…

Almost Finished Mini Album

Hey Crafters! So since I am taking forever to finish my Mini Album I decided to show you what I have so far.

I saw this paper on Steal Network and fell in love with it! I also used some washi tape on it to make it work. Everything I used was stuff I had around my craft office.

I think that is why it is taking me so long to finish it and why I think it has not turned out so good. I plan on making more mini albums and using supplies that other people

recommend. So her it is!

So I made this album with paper lunch bags. Please tell me what you think. This is my first attempt at making a mini album. Like I said

before I am not too sure about it because I didn’t use what was recommended.

Mini Album

Hello my fellow crafters!

Sorry I have not posted anything for a while. I am still trying to figure out how to get my followers from Blogger to my WordPress account. Not having to good of luck with that! 

So lately I have been working on my first Mini Album. I have been wanting to do something like this for a while now. I never thought I could do it but so far so good. I just put the cover on it yesterday and it already looks pretty. I can’t wait to see what the finished album will look like. I am also working on making a blanket for my son. He saw me making one for a friend and asked if I could make him one. Yesterday he told me that I was the best creator ever!! 🙂  My daughter has been making a lot of paper crafts of her own lately. She say’s that she is just like me but only with paper. I love my kids! They make me so happy!

Crocheting = Relaxing

Hello! How are you all doing on this Sunday Morning? I would like to take some time from my post to wish all of my crafty ladies a Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you have time to relax on this very special day. Let your family take care of you. Remember MOM’S, You are just as important!

Okay now to what I have been up to. Last week I went to a conference so I wasn’t working on any crafts. 😦 OH WAIT!! I did work on some crafts! I had to make some tags for gifts that we gave to the organization. It wasn’t a big deal but it was nice to make something plain look so pretty! Yesterday I decided to organize all my yarn and crocheting needles. They were just laying around and I wanted to have them where I can see them. That way I am reminded that I am still working on things. While organizing all my yarn & needles, I noticed how many finished & unfinished items I actually had. (Sometimes I feel like I am crocheting for no good reason  LOL!) 

I have a question, Do you ever feel like you are hard on yourself when it comes to your crafts? Do you find yourself starting a project over because you weren’t happy with it? WELL I DO & a lot! So………., many of my crochet work is done & I always want to take pictures but I don’t because I am not happy with how it looks.

Since I already had my finished work out, I decided to take pictures! Now please remember that I am not happy with them. I feel that I still need A LOT of practice in my crocheting. Please let me know what you all think….

So tell me, What do you think? I am currently working on a baby blanket. I hope it turns out good because I am planning on giving it as a gift.
